Sooo. you may have noticed a big overhaulling of the site (which is still happening to be honest..)! I have been working hard on producing the aesthetic I envisioned for this little project.. and I really wanted to push my HTML and CSS knowledge past that of my learning when I was 15 pre dropping out of IT (long story). The buttons on my Cool Sites archive? directory? (I dont know what to call it yet) were probably my biggest struggle, but I think they came out quite cute! I was really aiming for the whole "internet explorer/Windows95" vibe, as I just love that look. You may also notice the super y2k ooooh aesthetic baddie pigeon moment frutiger aero vibes scattered around. Not only am I justifying this by saying it fits with my retro esque dreams for the site, I also just personally love frutiger aero.. I know, me and everyone else in the cyberspace, so quirky and different of me XD.
Likeee LOOK AT THIS?? All that to have some Win95 esque buttons... done at like 1am.. I must hate myself. But atleast they look AWESOME definitely have a look at the Cool Sites section, that is where the most noticable overhauling for today is to be honest LOL.
You may also notice (PC viewers only sorry!) a new funky cursor.. yes, I mean the Wii cursor! It just felt right, yknow? Necessary. I love it so much, it always makes me smile. That was quite easy to do to be honest, no complaints there! I just had a look at some codepen examples and copied what I saw to be real for a sec, but I would definitely feel confident doing it again blind.
SO! Next steps.. hmm... I think the site needs some tunes. Ive been trying to figure out how to input youtube playlists to vibe to on here without the videos in the way.. I'm sure I'll figure that out next time, will be at least monday in terms of when i have time to code. I've been eyeing up some lovely frutiger aero/wii and ds era music to input.. but I may change my mind who knows. As my blinkie states, I play violent videogames, it feels wrong to Postal 2 shitpost with some bubbly lofi relaxing beats in the back.. or does it, now I think of it?
